What it does

Goldstein 2005 pediatric SIRS from age-group HR, RR, WBC, and core temperature. Present when ≥2 of 4 Table 3 criteria include abnormal temperature (>38.5 or <36 C) or leukocyte. Sepsis is SIRS plus suspected infection; severe sepsis and septic shock use caller-assigned organ-dysfunction flags. magent does not measure vitals or assay WBC. Not Bone 1992 adult SIRS and not Phoenix 2024. Not a medical device and not a diagnosis or sepsis order.
